Meet Lauren

Lauren Daniell is a psychologist with 15 years experience working with adults. She has worked across the public mental health sector as well as in private practice. Lauren is a warm and compassionate therapist passionate about creating space for people to pause, reflect and gain clarity, enhance their wellbeing, overcome difficulties and grow.

When she’s not with clients, Lauren can often be found starting her day with a walk or a gym class, volunteering at school, or baking delicious treats to share with family and friends. Life is also happily full with the everyday juggle of raising two teenagers and a primary schooler.

Lauren is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi), the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and is registered with Medicare to provide services under the Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative. Lauren is also a member of the Australiasian ADHD Professionals Association (aadpa).

Lauren’s approach

Lauren is a neurodiversity-affirming psychologist who offers compassionate, evidence-based support for adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, and major life transitions — including fertility challenges, pregnancy, and parenthood.

She creates a calm, flexible space where clients can explore their goals, build emotional resilience, and feel supported without pressure or judgment. Lauren works from a strengths-based, collaborative approach, helping clients feel empowered and understood.

With over 15 years’ experience in private and non-profit settings, she brings a holistic view of wellbeing and welcomes collaboration with other health professionals when it supports her clients’ care.

What to expect

Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar, and it’s completely okay to have mixed feelings about it. You might feel nervous, curious, unsure, or even overwhelmed. You won’t be judged — we’re here to support you in a way that feels respectful and genuine.

In your first session, we will take time to understand what’s brought you here and what’s important to you. There’s no pressure to share everything at once — you’re welcome to take your time. This is also your chance to get a feel for how the process works and whether this feels like a safe space to be yourself.

Everyone’s brain works differently, and we know there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Some people like structure, others prefer open conversation. Some prefer visuals or writing things down. We’re happy to adapt sessions to match your communication style and preferences.

Together, you’ll decide on a plan that makes sense for your goals, pace, and needs. Your psychologist will check in regularly to make sure therapy continues to feel useful and supportive. You’re always in control of how things go.
